Event Objectives and Purpose

This workshop is dedicated to advancing the study of Lefschetz Properties within commutative algebra and related fields. Building on the rich history of Lefschetz theory, the event brings together researchers from diverse backgrounds – topology, commutative algebra, algebraic geometry, combinatorics, and more – to foster collaboration and drive cutting-edge research.

Key objectives include
– Promoting research in commutative algebra and neighboring areas of mathematics.
– Facilitating interactions between junior and senior mathematicians, with a strong emphasis on mentoring and leadership, particularly for women and early-career researchers.
– Developing a robust research network that supports the academic growth of participants, including those from underrepresented groups and geographically isolated areas.

The workshop also aims to disseminate recent work through research talks that reflect the current state of the field. By encouraging collaboration among participants with varied expertise, the event seeks to spark new ideas and potential breakthroughs, ultimately contributing to the progress of this thriving area of study.

Support
Limited support for young participants is available through the Excellence Initiative Research University program of UKEN, more support is currently pending subject to approval by external agencies
